2023-01-03-05Managing the flow of library bookscard.We can borrow upperWe have 3 library cards (W-, A-, and the).We can request items from all over the cityand have them delivered to a branch,as longwe pick them up within 7 daysof their arrival.to 50 itemsaswe goWe currently have 123 items checked out,A- loves to go through chapter books.(Owl Diaries, Dragon Masters, Unicorn Diaries,...)Some of these are catalogued,not (can't be requested, have a generic title,some areso I have to get it from the branch it's in andlook for it by ID when it's due)to the library 1-2x a week.When she finds a series she likes,she wants to read all of it. She oftenrequests series she's read before.I don't have annew books!anyOSo we're experimentingwith keeping some booksin a separate room,but then...why can't I trade?0;Okay, she can trade,and if she finishesall the books she likes,then weto thelibraryдоor she readsthe other stuff.I want to:support her deep divesmix in a few new series,esp. those her friends like→ evenget her outsidein the strollermove stale books along → it's okay, exposure and agency are good.besides, exercise and boosting circulation stats....Keep track of what she likes→ simplify searching & requesting> find recommendations, spread out holdsupMight be fun to analyze the borrowing history - match itseries she likes, visualize that somehow.
